External Grease Traps PDF Print E-mail

Grease Interceptors periodically get full depending on usage and capacity of tank. They are designed to filter grease out of wastewater to avoid backups of city sewers.

Different city and county authorities are coming out with new programs businesses must follow to maintain grease interceptors or face stiff fines or penalties.

Grease traps need to be pumped out. There are certain chemicals available that “claim” if you add these chemicals you will never have to clean out your interceptor. If these chemicals are used they liquify the grease and carry it toward the outlet end pipe, therefore leading the grease out of the trap and out into your sewer, or worse, the city sewer. If that occurs, again, will lead to steep fines once they find out you are not maintaining your trap.

By maintaining your interceptor on a scheduled contract you have peace of mind that you are following government regulations and can avoid any potential backup into your building. 4 Aces can set up a scheduled maintenance contract based on your needs.
